Bedroom space ideas

Hello
I have had this master bedroom random space for ~20 years… and I have no idea how to best use it. Thinking about buying a dresser (don’t necessarily need more storage for my clothes) or maybe large floor mirror? I have been also thinking of putting a small console table where the books are (second pic). ???

I like simple and modern style. I am not sure what furniture or decor i should invest
in. Please help!

what function is missing in your house? A comfy reading corner? A kraft corner? Storage for holiday decor? Think about what you wish your house had, and see if it could be incorporated into that corner.

I have a small alcove space somewhat similar to that off my den. I had no idea what to do with it when I bought the place but eventually came up with a meditation corner. It has a comfortable upholstered chair and ottoman, a small bookcase, a multi-piece (four) metal artwork, a rug and a floor lamp. Lke yours, it is cozy and semi-encased but still open to a larger non-busy area.

Is that a chaise at the end of your bed - could that work in the corner? It is a nice to have a chair to sit for putting on shoes etc

I would put doors on it to extend the closet. I don't know why the builder didn't do that in the first place. Because of the sloping ceiling it may not be good for tall hanging space, but it would hold a lot of stuff of some kind.

Find a bookcase that will fit under the sloped ceiling. Then move the books and lamp that are on the floor to the bookcase. Anything else on the floor can go on the bookcase, too. If the tall plant can give you cuttings, the window looks like a good place to start them.

Hi! For the left wall Ι would definitely go for the entire wall with shelving including framed photos -paintings / decor / books / small 1-2 recharged lighting / plants. This will optimize this small corner and add a nice decorative touch. You can have it in a more minimal way choosing a few things to include. Maybe you could frame the pictures you have on the right and add them there like a nice personal touch! For the right "awkward" corner a reading / relax nook like it mentioned before would be perfect. Maybe move the blue chair with a new ottoman in front and add a small table with reading light. I would remove this floor light you have since it doesn't match with the style and the color pallet. Also I would add a few wall plants in the right wall and 2 -3 hooks for hanging small things, not to clutter the space.

You seem to have a navy velvet chaise by the bed, I would place it in the alcove with a task lamp and pictures on the wall. Although you say you don't need extra storage, I would say you need a cabinet to store the books sitting on the floor with a lamp at the end of the bed.
