If you are heating and cooling the attic, there should be no temperature shifts. It would be the same as having wallpaper downstairs. But, proper attic conversions are usually misunderstood by a lot of homeowners, as typical attics are difficult to vault, insulate, and provide HVAC to achieve a level equivalent to downstairs.
