72" tub is best when there are children in the family that need to bathe in it. This deep tub would be more appropriate for adults. As long as you have at least one 72" tub in the house you can do anything you want in the rest of the house. This is purely for resale value.

We are empty nesters and we're planning full tubs in 2 bathrooms. Still not sure if I want to commit to this or a regular tub.

If in doubt, go without!
