I've been searching for a shower kit that also includes a tub spout... But am having a hard time finding anything that works in my space. I'm not offposed to using the ones with the exposed pipe (like the ones use on claw toe tubs) but there is a ledge in the way on the wall where the shower system will be. The bottom half of the tiled wall runs from the rim of the tub up 20" then the wall steps back about 5" and continues up to the ceiling... the step back creates a little ledge which allows us to have our shampoo, body wash, etc. It also opens up the shower space a little more. It's a 58" long tub and felt a bit tight without the step back. Anyway, the bottom half of the wall is where tub spout will be installed along with the temperature control knob(s) and diverter... The shower head will be installed at the top of the "step back" wall or a rain shower head coming off the ceiling. Anyway, will the exposed pipes look messy running up the wall and cutting in front of the ledge? I don't even know if I can find brackets that extend out long enough from the step back wall to hold the upper part of the pipe securely. Unexposed piping is a more cleaner/sleeker look but I'm having a hard time finding a kit that has all the parts I need (tub spout, temperature knobs, shower head and 2 way diverter for both. A handheld would be nice too, but given how hard it is to find the 2 basics, I'm not pushing my luck on the handheld... but if a kit included the handheld with a 3 way diverter, that would be my lucky day! My preference would be clean lines and pure brass (unlaquered). Not too modern - I like simple and classic, but not old timey antique. Anyway, hope all that made sense... if anyone has any thoughts, suggestions, tips or advice it would be super helpful.. I have spent 3 days researching with no luck.. I just got more confused the more I searched. Thanks in advance.
