Next warm day, get the hose and a bucket of mild soapy water and give the whole area a quick wash. It will make a big difference. A large,,colorful rug instead of the one that is currently there. A planter with some flowers. A wreath on the door - use an over the door hanger.

I agree with ShadyWillowFarm and your ideas. I hope the landlord will let you change the number. If your door is metal you can use strong magnets to attach things (renter's tip).

Start with cleaning the area. Door mat, chair and classic wreath. Nothing around the door.

Oh trust me I'm cleaning it as soon as it warms up and hopefully putting a fresh coat of paint on the door, thank you that's helpful and the magnet tip is actually a really good idea thank you! I'm just having a hard time picking which rugs and door wreaths would look good with it

Thank you I will definitely try that, I'm not sure what color would look good without being too bold, and the over the door hanger is a very good idea thank you! There's currently a big old nail sticking out of the door so I've been hanging things off of that
