Nice photos Ann, I wish I had that much space. Love the parrot story!

When my husband was a kid his family babysat a neighbors parakeet. He says that little bird swore like a sailor. He and his siblings laughed all day over that bird.

I got inspired by Ann’s photos and found a photo of medium hosta, etc., growing under my huge blue spruce. One of the owners of my favorite local nursery told me I shouldnt place plants under the spruce…….oh well……..looks pretty good still after about 20 years.

Sherry..I love your garden under the spruce 🙂..my parents' house came with a mature blue spruce that was brown and or bare at the bottom..they lived there 30 years and never planted under it 😂..yours looks much prettier..

Sherry, I also had a hosta garden under a blue spruce tree. I loved it everything grew well. In the end the spruce tree died and was taken down. Then the garden in the middle of the lawn needed to get moved.

old_dirt all beauties. We seem to be on the same time line lately.

I am in my third day of no heat….boiler broke on Friday 😬 last night it got down to 16 F!

We have a propane enclosed radiator and two heaters. Bee Been staying warm enough. Oh, also boiling 4 pots of water on stove all day 🙄Paula, loved the parrot story…. I laughed out loud 🤣

Oh Debra I am glad that you are acceptably warm. Wouldn't you know it would happen on a Friday. Were you able to get a call out or do you have to wait until tomorrow?

debra..glad you're safe..we would be leaving if our heat went out..we have one small electric heater that we use occasionally in our garage..it's not enough to heat the house..

Debra, stay warm. I hope you don't have any damage to your house while the best is out. My houseplants would not be happy.

The repairman was her Friday morning and had to turn off the boiler. It was leaking water and gas!! So he’s gotten the parts needed and comes tomorrow morning at 9. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 The house has been staying in the 60’s with the help of the heaters and boiling pots! 😆😆😆 Thanks all for your well wishes!

I am a bit back to Earth and going thru Alphabet. Love the pics! Those under trees arrangements are fancier than I am making, might have to rethink my simplicity.
