Round tables and benches rarely work well for seating a square allows a lot more seats to each the table . Do you really need seating for 10 people at the table ? I honestly hate bench seating anywhere it barely works in a park. If only 5-6 people why not forgt the bench do a round table and 6 chairs you have space for a 60" table without jamming it into the cornner with a bench

This area is more for our kids , we have a sun room dining room and island seating for adults . That is a good thought though on getting rid of

Have you considered moving the seating area to the middle of the bench/built-in wall? You could do a bench with back (built-in or free standing) against the back wall with an oval table with 2-4 chairs arranged around the oval.

Move the tall cabinet(s) 90-degrees on to the side wall(s) or do a tall cabinet on one side and maybe a console/sideboard on the other. You may need to remove the window or adjust the door opening on the side walls to accommodate them.

Using free standing furniture rather than built-ins gives you more flexibility in the room configuration over time.

It does look crammed into the corner. Why not just buy a table with a couple benches and a couple chairs? You can move it out a ways from the walls, and do pretty drapes on the windows. You’ll have a lot more flexibility, and with a growing family, that might come in handy later.

As others have said, a round table doesn't work with a bench because you can't reach it from all the seating areas. For this space, I'd get a round table and use chairs. You can get a table that expands to an oval for more seating when needed if you desired. Chairs are so much easier and comfortable for everyone, kids and adults, because they can be adjusted. It wouldn't take up any more space in the room than your original plan.
