Touchless Faucets

The Wifey arthritis is kicking in full time.

I disonnected our tapmaster, which we've replaced the Pilot Valve Actuator 2X already as over time , let's say 8 years or so, it only works like 40% of the time and that's with pressing on it multiple times till it works. That's when you know it needs replacing

I disconnected the tapmaster and hooked up the faucet direct.

Fast forward, our Ladylux Grohe, which has never been under (constant water pressure) showed a leak....as overnight our cabinet and floor was flooded (sigh).....it's a slow leak that's coming uptop from the faucet body, following the cold water feed line and dripping off the shut off as it follows the flow.

Ended up buying a Kohler as a temp.

I'm doing a brief look since it's almost 2 decades later since we've been using a Tapmaster.

I don't see anything that comes up immediate but are there any go to Electronic Sensing Touchless Faucets that are clear reliable winners/must haves ?

I’m sorry about your wife’s condition. They are becoming popular across the industry, the showroom I work with stocks the moen in several models both touch and wave. I’d look for an independent showroom if you can, they will only stock what they deem reliable.

I have tendonitis in my wrists and thumbs. Grasping knobs can be really painful, yet I don't like anything with too many parts that can break. ( I'm also a germphobe and hate to touch knobs.) I go for easy lever faucets that I can push on and off and adjust the temp with just the slight tough of the side of my forearm.

This is my kitchen faucet and I use it pain free. I never grasp the handle, just glide it with a light touch of my forearm. I can easily and accurately adjust the temp.

I have a similar set up in one of our bathrooms. I've been very happy.

We recently outfitted a new guest apartment with aging in place in mind and got all lever door handles instead of knobs and chunky handles on the cabinets instead of knobs.
