The shower

dimensions will be 43x38 not 42x42. Where should grab bar go? And would you keep shower head on the wall in drawings or move shower head to other wall and move niche to other side?

I would place the shower head and valve on the wall indicated so that you can turn on the faucet before getting into the shower. On the back wall would create splashes towards the door. Do you need a grab bar IN the shower?

Thank you! Yes, i prefer grab bar inside. I figure i can add one outside later if needed. The door will be made to swing both ways.

The goal of remodel is to make sure i have enough room to put a walker and portable shower seat inside as iI get older.

You do know curbless requires the whole bathroom floor to be waterproof and unless you are in a wheelchair kind of a useless design and of course if in a chair the shower is way too small. I agree the controls on the wall where you reach is to turn on and the heads there too since it looks like there is no other place for the heads so like Lorraine shows

That bathroom is pretty tight. The space for the toilet seems to just barely meet residential building code. Can you steal any space from an adjacent room?

No, not from the toilet all side. Not enough space to move out. They are already moving wall 6 inches where the vanity is to give me more space from shower door opening to edge of counter and drawers. There is a closet behind the wall and it needs to be 60 in wide.

I would not do the plumbing on an outside wall. 30" is bare minimum for a toilet area and should be larger if you are planning on an age in place situation. You may want to consider a bench that folds up so it is out of the way when you are not using it. Keeping a teak seat in there will take up floor space and may make it too tight when you are standing .

I know that Delta faucets makes a slide bar for a handheld shower and it is also an ADA rated grab bar. That may be a great option since it serves 2 purposes.
