I'd start with a complete landscape redo and removing the shudders. And what's going on with the front steps? In the picture it looks as if something is growing all over them.

Lots of potential. I agree on landscaping. New Portico or Redesign on that. Paint and maybe a new metal roof and she would pop from the street.

I'd get it inspected and address any serious issues before doing cosmetic work.

It looks long neglected. Along with Cecily’s comment above, I’d be sure the roof and guttering are in good shape first. Both look suspicious to me.

Toss the shutters. The old and tired evergreens should probably go too, most especially the one right in front of the door. What does the front stoop look like? I’m imagining it is very dirty and maybe slimy with moss/mildew. The old storm door and front door could both be upgraded. Are the windows peeling?

I don’t see any way to approach the front door. Is there a driveway?

The roof looks like it needs replacing, and before any cosmetic work has been done, I would want to make sure, the house is safe, and free from roof leaks. It does look like maintenance has been deferred, so there may be a lot of things, that need to be done, to make sure the electrical, and plumbing, and windows, and roof are all in good condition. All those things, should be done, before any pretty stuff is done.
