seating group 2, 3 or 4?

Hello, following on from my last post about this room….the rug is in-situ as is the piano. Rug is 9x12. What kind of seating group should I put here. The piano could go a few inches toward the French doors but I would like to keep it in its current or a similar orientation (by that I mean I do not want to make the pianist face the corner) unless I absolutely have to.

It’s horrible weather outside so the colors of the room are not showing well. Also the walls are going to be painted a sage green color. I’m not really looking for color advice right now so much as how many chairs, what type and where to put them.

I’d love to be able to do more than 2 chairs but I think perhaps, it’s not achievable.

I think any seating is going to look best if it's entirely on the rug, or on the rug except for just the back legs. So two chairs, angled towards each other with a small table between them.

What is your plan for music storage?

Say more about who would sit there, when, and to do what? People sitting and listening to the piano being played, or do you want an area for sitting and socializing?

It’s the formal area of the house. So yes to listen to my son playing but also to in his absence to be in the more dressy area for a chat or coffee in a no-TV room. The view from those doors is very nice. No music storage….all music goes back to bedrooms (he has a piano up there too). However, if we find we do want music permanently downstairs it would likely be in a basket close by. And the rest of us would bring instruments and music to the piano and then take them away again.
