Update old looking pool

My house came witha free form pool that I don't like. Changing the shape is too expensive, but I want to resurface it and put new tile to make it nicer. My house is spanish revival and we have a really nice pool house.

Thinking of plaster vs pebletec.

For tiles thinking of something spanish. Not sure what to do with the brick.... and deck..

Any feedback is welcomed.

This is the already remodeled pool house next to the pool..

Hire a local pro to do the pool tile and resurfacing design. In the meantime, have the patio and sidewalks pressure washed. It will look much better. The colors may also lighten and brighten once it's been cleaned.

I like the poo.l just the way it is. I would get it all cleaned, and then leave it alone. It fits the style of your house very nicely. Add some colorful furniture for sitting, and make it a really cute sitting area out by the pool.

I really like the terracotta pink poolside patio at Park MGM in Vegas and it looks even better in person. Very nice with the green and white umbrellas. It would look fantastic for your place.

My deck is concrete. Yes it needs to be power washed! And maybe stained??
I was thinking Pebble tech in a dark blue shade. And maybe some tiles like these??

Should I cover the red brick in white stucco and remove the spa handle?

    This is just my opinion.

I would lose all the red brick. To me it's overpowering, busy and the material is outdated.

It's been over 25 years since we have used that brick style and that color.

I would opt for a natural stone that has a softer color with less joints. Something to complement the floor surface at the remolded pool house.

The outside raised portion of the spa should have tile around its perimeter and not be interrupted by the different material. Brick in this case.

A dark blue plaster will look nicer with coping that is in the light gray, tannish color range. It won't go well with the red.

There's some beautiful glass tile that could work great with your home style and color range.

I wouldn't get too hung up trying to make the pool match up with the Spanish revival look.

Have the patio cleaned up. It can be stained if you so choose.

Patio Tones is a water based non-skid paint we have used. Easy to apply and has many colors.

I love this look with the appearance of darker water and landscaping with natural stones.
