Not a fan of a square tray on a round, but it’s really a personal decision. The main thing to keep in mind is the tray’s proportions so it doesn’t feel lost or overwhelming and with lots of testing you’ll find the right combination.

Personally I prefer a less set feel that provides more flexibility, as I like to change things around. Maybe try that idea as well and groupings of three is always a good choice.

I have very little on my coffee tables they are functional for entertaining so a book maybe and an prchid from mine that is in bloom
