Why do you want to separate these rooms? The point of this kind of layout is to have it all as one open space. I don't think it would look good to chop it up.

it appears my post was confusing, and I applogize for that. I want a better appearance, for the combined area and am not looking to separate rooms.

Well, this may sound simplistic, but to sort of “ unify” the rooms, have them relate to each other, I surging of repeating elements. Elements can include color(s), styles ( such as furniture design periods, wood finishes, level of formality), a theme, possibly— not overdone cutesy but one might have a garden or nature theme, mountain, coastal( careful there); and art , not too matchy - matchy but, art themes such as , again, nature, botanicals, landscapes. or abstracts/ modern, or still life, etc. And might find you can include / repeat several of these elements in each space.

Color could be simplest. You have golden wood floors, then very dark LR furniture ( black? Very dark brown?) and the light rug doesn’t ground it at all, if you are keeping the dark furniture. So I part it appears that the LR itself isn’t very coordinated & optimized. Not a DARK rug, but a rug with even a small amount of pattern using some of the dark, a bit of a color referencing the flooring, a pale neutral of wall, plus even another color. But some light/ dark/ warm.

Then, more substantial piece of art for one or more walls, instead of the small random dark things hanging on walls. I would certainly try to add color and warmth in the art. Also the little plants in the high windows are distractions , though I get it if you are a plant- lover and using the light . But maybe keep in back of mind what better to do there, later, even with plants. The chair throw slipcover isn’t tidy of course - that might be something to work toward, if saving up for a new chair or consignment store find, or if chair “ fits” a more tailored/ snugged style of slipcover.

The dining nook then would need to echo some of that. No rug there for me, so I’d think of the dining set, and wall art, to coordinate with the LR. It might be a darker table , or chairs, even painted if that’s economical or you decide to use a strong accent color. The wall color doesn’t look that great on my monitor but it’s very hard to see colors correctly , plus I don’t yet have in mind where the space would come alive with just the right wall paint, or how that world affect the kitchen. If you have budget to replace some furniture , that would take some thought as to what gives the most bang, takes you in the best direction and doesn’t instead create more dilemmas.

I think the living room part of the room needs more light and colour - maybe through textiles (curtains on those windows, throw pillows on the furniture), and/or actually lamps with more decorative shades (more colour). Also it needs a coffee table. I think the kitchen side of the room looks good.

Thank you. This room has always been a challenge as far as putting it together and yoive given me alot to think about. The covered chair is a beautiful PB swivel chair that a kitten has taken a liking to, so trying to keep her from scratching it.

Here are a few ideas...

You seem to have part of an island in the kitchen, extend it. If you're unable to match the existing cabinets, paint the island surround, match the countertop to the existing in your kitchen (we cannot see it). Replace the 2 island lights.

You can paint or replace your dining set and replace the chandelier to hang 32-33 inches above the tabletop. Replace the window valances with natural fibre or bamboo roman shades. In the living room, install the same shades but hang them higher than the windows to make them appear taller. I'm showing decor with green since you seemed to have green in your living room area rug and it coordinates well with the existing rooms and furniture.

The 2 pictures below appear to be a different colour but I'm to understand they are both painted in Greek Villa.
