We have recently had a house worth of Saltillo tile refinished. The tile guy has cautioned us about using any tape on the floor since it could ruin the finish. We now want to have the interior of the house painted and the painters want to use tape. Even the delicate Scotch brand painters’ tape seems to be problematic. We have no baseboards, just drywall above the tile. Has anyone dealt with this? I have even volunteered to do all the cut in painting myself to make it easier for the painters.
