Quartz will very definitely scorch. Beware using pans that are too large and reflect heat downward onto the counter. That has been a known source of damage to the counters.

Anyone else who has it installed on Quartz? I am loosing my mind after the installation and I have not used it yet. Please help!

What fuel source does your cooktop have? Is it gas, electric, radiant, or induction?

Unfortunately, when mounted flush, the cooktop grates are not raised much, if at all, above the surrounding countertop. If a pan slips off a grate it will contact the countertop which must be avoided to avoid damage. You have to make sure not to allow pans to do this or to use large pans that extend beyond an edge of the cooktop.
