Every year, I try to buy bulbs on sale

at the end of the season. I leave them in the fridge or in our unheated garage. There’s always a risk to lose some, because I don’t plant them right away, I just leave them in bags until I’m ready to plant them around mid-March.

I’m happy to report that it worked well this year! I bought a big bag of mixed hyacinths from Costco, and other bulbs I’ve already forgotten what they were.

The hyacinth were dry when I planted them 3 weeks ago, but I see some nice growth on them!

Anyone else forcing bulbs this year?
