I would keep a lawn and keep the pool close to the house, as well as the hot tub.

An outdoor patio expansion and shaded area between the house and pool could work to get good use from your space. Consider in and out wet traffic for your indoor configuration. And eating outdoors with food movement and prep. The best part of the pool of my youth was the 10' extra deep end. Deep is better.

You need a good exterior designer to do this job. You have agreat space use it wisely. I dislke grass but love my 2200Sq ft of deck and pool We have avery hilly property so lots of planning went into the building of all the deck levels My hubby was great at that part. I love outdoor living spce we are out there as long as wether permits every year So an outdoor kitchen , a huge dining space and lots of seating with loungers around the pool which is on the other side of the house , This takes planning and also who is using the stuff if you have young kids a much different thing then mostly adults. I like a hot tub off the master bedroom usually . I try to avoid grass where it gets tracked into the pool

Where are you located, and how much of the year will you be able to use your pool? You might consider the cost of heating a larger pool, as you decide what to do. Lawns also serve a purpose in helping to manage site drainage. Depending on where you live, your local code may require installation of detention/retention to offset the loss of lawn and increase in paved area. I think you should consult a landscape architect as you plan your yard.

Will you regularly use a pool? personally I would not want one but my close friend would - you will likely need a lot of fencing depending on local regulations and your home insurance will go up but all that is worth it if you love being in a pool
