Bedroom carpet ideas

I'm in the midst of starting a master bedroom redo. Husband and I always preferred to have wall to wall carpet in our bedroom. Over the years I have found my bedroom to get extraordinarily dusty, like within 2 days. We have always gravitated towards plush carpeting but I'm wondering if that is part of the cause for all the dust. I'm looking for ideas of other variations of carpeting I should look for. Any ideas are appreciated

Plush carpet wouldn't likely generate dust, but it would hold and keep dust. The first thing most doctors recommend for anyone with dust allergies is hardwood floors in their bedroom.

What Kendrah said. No carpet in the bedroom. IMO, no carpet anywhere in the house, outside of maybe a few area rugs.

Thanks. We are not allergic…just sick of the constant dusting, which btw doesn’t do anything other than spreading it around more. I’m an advocate for refinishing the floors, they are solid oak….and I’m trying to convince him. Btw I have wall to wall in my guest room and it doesn’t get nearly as dusty as the master. Truly a mystery

The dust could be coming from the mattress. You can enclose the mattress in a protector, which should help.
