Help with Kitchen table and wall decor

I need serious help here. I am looking to replace the kitchen table to a lighter white or light grey - just not sure if i should do round or square? (the tablecloth is awful i know but its temporary) Also - the wall - shelves? if so what color? or art? and if so of what? i feel like a lot of the kitchen art is just not exciting for me. Any advice is greatly appreciated. THank you
