Since Purple and Gold are complementary colors, you could consider keeping the Caviar and using that color combo in decor. You don't like the paint color?

Its looking tooo regal to me with thr purple undertones and gold… hoping to figure out a more subtle look…

I'd paint the walls/trim and ceiling a light gold to match. (the light tones in the paper)

to me, it would be a modern contrast to the floor and your furniture.

I’d suggest you focus on the rug and furnishings first before settling on paint. Paint should always be the last choice.

I have never seen the paper in person but I do like how the space looks with that very dark trim so IMO just a different shade of almost black . BM makes some very interesting blacks maybe Iron Mountain but I wold not try to match gold to the paper for sure and IMO the light trim does not look near as fabulous as the black. Maybe a geometric rug if you want a rug. IMO the paer is regal and that dark goes well with the floor too.
