Looking for advice on shutter color?

We are trying to decide on the best color for the shutters on the front of this home. A couple options are to stain them like the front door, use a blue color like the attached photo, or go in a completely different direction. This is a more traditional home in an established neighborhood, so looking for something current, but not trendy.

We could also do darker brown or black like for a urbane bronze or black fox.

Shutters should be the size to be functional even if no intention to use functionally. Your home is lovely and the shutters could diminish the look.

Another vote for no shutters, and I happen to like shutters on Colonials or Capes. But not on your home, and especially not that blue, which would be appropriate for a cottage in Provence.
