Suggestions for Exhaust system

Hello Everyone, So we are planning to renovate our Kitchen, and we have planned to add an island and cooktop on island, which leads to an issue of adding an exhaust. I am attaching a photo of our kitchen, if anyone could give us an idea on how to add an exhaust system with our planning, that would be very helpful. If there are any question please ask.

Please add a drawing of your kitchen layout with measurements. You will get much better advice!

Don't put the cooktop on the island.

Best Cattura is a good downdraft popup exhaust. It can be used with an induction cooktop. Not that effective with gas. A large overhead high-capacity hood is an option for gas and induction. High exhaust outflow means makeup air is needed. A location against a wall requires less exhaust capacity.

Venting will either be a hood vented up through the ceiling and roof if you have a roof above rather than a second story, or a downdraft vented down under the floor if you have crawlspace/basement.

If you cook a lot, or do cooking that creates grease, odor, smoke, steam - downdraft probably not good enough.
