We have a Kohler cast iron shower receptor (pan) in our guest bathroom shower (our other two bathrooms have tub showers). No compaints with the Kohler shower receptor. It’s solid and sturdy, and looks great with tiled walls and a glass shower door.

Based upon the research I did with my sister on this issue, we found quite a few prefab shower pans + many worked with a glass shower door.

FYI - I would not use a TileRedi pan - I've had several negative comments/opinions shared with me by tile professionals over on the John Bridge Tile Forum. It would be better to use a Schluter shower base that you tile over vs. a TileRedi base.

Kohler cast iron shower pans are pretty popular on Houzz - all the Houzz users (who posted comments) have been very happy with their Kohler cast iron shower pan. Some people thought that glass doors could not be used with a Kohler cast iron shower pan - however, many Houzz users have Kohler cast iron pans and have had various types/styles of glass doors installed.

There were several posts by people who did have glass doors installed that required drilling into their Kohler cast iron pans - no one had any issues.
