how much extra do i need?

hi,

uh, so I am not sure if I need to get more vinyl tiles or not.

Right now, we have more than 10% extra. (Btw, sorry about the poor photo and drawing quality.) It is a small area, about maybe 140', and we are buying 160'.

But, there is a pattern. (Pale large tiles, with small dark diamonds interspersed. Precut, I am happy to say.)

Also, I am nervous about whether we will care if it is "centered" or not.

I made this drawing, and on one hand, maybe we have enough extra. But otoh, it will be rather a disaster if something goes wrong.

What would you do?

I appreciate any advice in advance. Thanks!

I think adding the little accents are going to be the thing you hate down the road so why not a simple 12 x24 tile in a stacked pattern and yes of course make sure all tile is the same dyelot and that goes for the little ones too if you insist .

Hmmm ... that photo looks small. I wonder if it is because I just switched to Chrome and I'm not adjusted yet. Anyone know a way to make it bigger?

I think the OP should use a camera with a larger sensor with more pixels. And zoom in.

I'll try again - I didn't do anything differently on Houzz - other than that, I was using Chrome when I downloaded the photo to this device - so I'm not sure what happened. I'm sorry for the hassle.

So, this is just my outline of the flooring, on top of 160 little squares. (I did a 1/2" = 2 ft scale .... or at least, I meant to ... ha) I am not sure why I am getting stuck on this.

Anyhow, thanks again in advance for any thoughts!

Check with the retailer about the return options. You may be able to return unopened boxes. If so, get more now to stay in the same dye lot.

I went ahead and made a better photo, just in case.
