Where are you located?

Looks like all vegetation is worn down by people/animals making a short cut across that half-circle. I think I would let them win and pave over that spot. It’s too narrow anyway with the pool gate right there.

Edit to add: We are located in Massachusetts for planting zones.

I agree with little bug. Get rid of the wiggle. It serves no purpose.

Raise the mower blades to as high as they will go. Weld them there :-)

That half circle makes me think a tree was planned for that spot? It’s just random now. Straighten it or make a bed but will people tromp through a garden bed?

I think the original paver design was to mimic the shape of the pool and pavers on the pool deck. Ugh! Just being out here so much to do 🙄 Thanks for all the responses so far!
