Clean slate, need advice on potential artwork?

I have a new condo. Has white walls and trim. I just started furnishing it and only have an area rug right now for the living room. The rug is 8x10 and will have a 3 seater sofa that I have not picked out yet but would like a piece of art to go above the couch since the ceilings are 10 foot and the couch will sit partially on the rug. Any ideas on what type of art would go with this rug?
