I laughed at the argyle socks. Today my DH has on black work shoes, white over the ankle socks, gym shorts, a cowboy hat and clip on sunglasses. I just walk a little apart.🙄

Yes, Mtn, I made a label for dh for Christmas that said "Scouty. The perfect white. Full-bodied with a great nose." Still makes me smile whenever I see it.

You are so brave to try fostering. I'd be a foster fail, I attach much too quickly. Your intuition must be very good to have picked such a good partner for your resident little guy. Things must feel much more normal to him now with another pup in the house. They are adorable, congratulations.

KSWL…how on earth were you able to find such a cutiepie from a shelter?! Few to be found here, but tons ot pit mixes. Lucky duck! A dog was our ”first child”, but we ever had just one until 10 yers ago. Thought the new girl might rejuvenate our old, partially blind, deaf one. Could return to foster if it didn;t go that way. But …oh! How it did. And we quickly learned the entetainment value to us , and the fun for the once solo dog. She then passed and after waiting for the right one, we are a family four again.

Mtn, , we’ve always had 30-40 pound dogs, so i get it. Then, my kids got a mini goldendoodle. Big dog in a smaller size. We adore her. They carry her about to second home, airbnbs, hotels, hockey games, our house, planes, trains etc.

We ALL adore dogs.

P.S. Before anyone makes an arguement re Pit Bulls, let me say I have walked and cared for quite a few during my years as a shelter volunteer. Most…in that situation…were sweeties. Still, too many with sad, bad backgrounds to warrent my willingness to bring one home.

Allison, how funny! Your black cat (Scout or Charlie?) looks mischievous and the other one looks dubious 😁

Charlie is the black cat. Three brothers: Charlie, Frankie and Riley. But Riley hasn't been around in a year. Charlie had a virus and now has a cute head tilt sometimes. All three of the black cats have a partially cloudy right eye due to mom having a virus at their birth. They all have the tinest meows, and Scout just double dog dares me to try to pet her! But after 2yrs of feeding her, I can now pet her back as she eats. I think her mask makes her have a variety of looks! She is the biggest hunter of the colony.

We are required to have two dogs, I think.

Very glad you have a happy companion for Charlie. I do enjoy having 2 dogs, ideally about 5 years apart but we have these bros, always like bookends.
