If you are going to install recessed light, you need to make sure they are far enough away from the fan so you don't get a strobe light effect when the lights and the fan are on at the same time.

Furniture arrangement that allows for end tables with lamps on them is the way to add layered lighting & targeted lighting for reading. Is there a patio cover outside of the windows on either side of FP that’s blocking natural light to room?

Unfortunately I can only squeeze in one side table (or standing lamp) by the sofa because of that stupid little divider wall! The patio out there is totally exposed to light I don’t know how none of it makes its way in🤣one day I’d like to have a door with a much larger window to let more light in
