LED Fixture Longevity?

I found some LED fixtures that I'd like to recommend to a client, however I'm concerned about their longevity and the fact that the entire fixture must be replaced when the "bulbs" blow out. I know that will drive her bananas if it happens too soon. Any experiences you can share with this type of fixture? I know she'll love the fact that they are "closed" so there's no dusty bulbs, but I'm reluctant all the same...Thanks!

Probably 10 years or so...so long enough she'll be sick of them by then.

We installed an LED bathroom fixture that lasted at least 5 years. We replaced it as part of a remodel for style reasons, it was still going strong.

You'll have to include a link or name if you want meaningful feedback. If it's a Chinese product with a no brand led the future isn't as bright.

Throwing away a $400 fixture after 5 years IMO is not acceptable.

If I only paid $75 for it and it gave me 5 years that would be better.

Every single stick of lighting you will touch is made in CHINA, so forget that conversation.

Dedicated led......

I think it is stupid at any price, as there are no guarantees. Maybe it's ten years? Maybe it is six.

Most important is how much light do you need?

The look is available at a lot of price points.

Visual comfort below at 99.00 bucks and you CAN replace the bulbs, same size, same amount of light

Visual comfort, 649.00 takes a variety of bulbs and dimmable

I threw away a couple of led dedicated, as when they arrived? I hated the temperature of the led, and all the packing was tossed by the electrician..

So......pay attention : )

IPhones are made in China and India. You know and recognize the brand Apple for a level of quality they maintain. The thing about made in China is by who? No history/brand. No integrity to promote and safeguard. A warranty from an unnamed maker has limited use.

I do not like integrated fixtures since I use LEDs everywhere in my home I want to be able to change the bulbs. As for where the fixture is made I have many made in Italy not China . I have on e integrated fixture in my guest room it is 15 yrs old but the fact is not used daily . There is no way I would ever pay $400 for an itegrated fixture for sure . Really dusting a light bulb is a big deal who knew
