I would not do a hedge of boxwoods. If you want height, but it at the corner of your house --- but far enough away that it won't be a problem at full height. You might add some shrubs that blooms in the summer. Clethra or red twig dogwood might be a good choice they are deciduous, but if the green shrubs are evergreen, it will be fine in winter. The red twig dogwood has red stems in winter, which are pretty. You can get them with yellow stems, too.

It's much more interesting if you have varied shapes and colors. You could add some Thuja golden balls or tater tots to the right. You can get silver foliage and lime foliage in junipers.

North facing house is tough. You need plants that can handle shade. Azaleas do OK in shade in zone 7. I don't like the downspout dumping there. I would get something to extend it a few feet so it dumps into the yard.
