Wood Look Siding for porch DIY

last month

I want to add some warmth to the porch area of our house. I resided the rest of the house in blue last summer. I want a wood look, plank look inside the porch on 2 walls. The plank look I would like is shown in the pics. I like the plank look without laps or large gaps. However, I am reluctant to use real wood as I have no experience with it and want to avoid twisting or dimension changes with weather (Wisconsin with cold winters, warm wet summers). Can anyone recommend a way to achieve this look without breaking the bank account? I have looked at a few products like "Composite by Fiberon", "T-8 Plankwall" but they are probably out of my budget. I have considered Cedar Nickel Gap (t&g) siding at Menards, but I don't like the knotty look. I am open to installing plain T1-11 siding, painting it black and creating this look with "out of the box" thinking and products. Open to ideas that would get a similar look. Any ideas? Thanks.
