Reprime siding before installing?

We are installing a large window in the gable end of our house. The siding we will be using is oil primed clear cedar, which is primed on both sides with an oil primer. I want to make sure that we have the best adhesion possible for the exterior latex paint as well as avoid tannin bleed.
my thought was to reprime the exposed surface with latex primer and then two coats of latex paint.
Would this be the best approach, or should we prime again with oil stain blocking primer and then two coats of latex topcoat? Thank you.

You'll NEVER go wrong re-priming something!! Most primers get "too dried-out" to be of much benefit after a month.

Re-prime ANY wood surface before install. Even surfaces that will never be seen again!

Ideally apply TWO new coats of an Exterior-capable Oil primer, then 2 coats of a top-notch Exterior Satin or Semi-gloss.

I bought oil primer and applied a coat to most of the cedar siding over the factory primer yesterday. Today the himidity is 75% and it’s supposed to rain for the next 4 days. I’m priming inside an unfinished garage. Should i wait for humidity to drop before priming the rest?
