Moving my Deutzia?

Good Morning, All. I have two Deutzia that need to find new homes. I have the new locations ready, but is this the best time to move them? I can see the buds have formed. Should I wait until after bloom? In the late summer? These have both been in the ground for at least 25 years, but have stayed small and not very vigorous. I'm thinking that new locations would be best. Any ideas or advice would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

Well, it has been moved...twice, and I hope it survives. I went to my local Nursery and asked for some help and direction. I walked out with three bags of Coast of Maine garden soil, some Espoma plant tone (?) and a good pat on the back. I'm happy that it is now in it's new location where I can see it and enjoy it's delicate nature. I have another Deutzia that will have to wait until I have it's new location ready. That will be in the early fall. I have moved all sorts of established plants to new locations this spring. Gardening is a never ending journey that I am happy to be on. ;)

I've moved a few plants that weren't thriving, too. It's survival of the fittest!
