Design help needed for the open living room

Hi everyone,
We recently moved into our new place and I'm starting to plan the living room decor. I’d love your expert input on a few things:
I’m considering adding non-functional accent drapes from the ceiling down on either side of the sliding doors to highlight the high ceilings. I'm thinking of using the blue fabric swatch attached—do you think that color works well for this space, or would you suggest customizing it or exploring other color options?
Additionally, I plan to add roller shades for the sliding doors to ensure privacy and sun protection. Does that combination sound cohesive?
I also have windows opposite the TV wall—should I hang similar dummy curtains there for balance, or is it okay to just treat the sliding door area?
Would really appreciate any guidance or ideas you might have!

I think we saw this room before. Did you already post this question?

I remember suggesting you move the art. Art should be at eye level. Accenting the ceiling height is not good design. The blue is a lovely color but will overwhelm the room with all those windows. I also think the TV is too high, can it be moved to the left of the FP?

Start by removing the art.
I personally don’t think the rug is working with the sofa, are you open to changing that?
Curtains are pretty.

Hi sure which rug do you recommend here, may be I move this rug to some other place. I like blues and greens, can you help me design this room, I can remove the art above the sliding doors, but I cannot move the TV but in future we are planning to build the slat wall behind the TV, can you plz guide how to decor this room.

Hi everyone thank you for the suggestion I know removed the art work and rug from there, I like the rugs-direct Checkered Area Rug, can I order that in size 9.3*13? But just wondering as it a lite color will it get dirty with young kids running around....can I also add any more chairs near the sofa for extra seating ?

I’d suggest using masking tape to measure out the new rug size and see how you feel about it.
I’d add a bench in that little niche indentation to the left of the TV
