How far is this from the pool? "Up to the pool deck"? So it's an above ground pool? I am just thinking if it's far from the pool a counter/bar to sit at won't be utilized as much as you think it ought.

Good points. I wasn’t really thinking of it as something to sit at, more for setting food out on when entertaining or prep space when cooking.

Yes, a much wider view of your outdoor space would be great! Even a sketch on graph paper. We don’t know what else you already have available (for example, table and chairs for eating? chairs for lounging or sunbathing? room for either of these things?).

What’s your vision for using the small area you pictured? Obviously it’s near a traffic pattern as you say the step on the left leads to a pool ……

Depends on your budget: an outdoor kitchen costs a lot more than a counter height bar configuration and which would better suit your needs. If the aim is just to improve the area, I’d start with adding privacy and then for visual interest, add planters with flowers or herbs.

For sure we need the whole outdoor space plan and pictures . Where is your eating space outdoors ? I like outdoor spaces to be designed pretty much like the indoors. A kitchen, DR, and LR. Waht are you planning for the deck finish ? How close to the kitchen is this space ?Add all new info here in comments and a to scale plan is always a huge help.

Wouldn't suggest that you go to the expense of installing an outdoor kitchen unless it will actually be used.

Thanks for the drawing. I see 2 BBQs so assume you do lots of outdoor cooking so a nice counter for the guests that just love being in the kitchen is a good ide nad of course to use for serving. I would like to see seating for 6 at the pool too . Where is the kitchen inside ?
