I'm not a pro landscaper but it would be useful when driving in your area to look for shade loving plants that deer haven't eaten.

If you don't recognize them cut a small twig with bark, leaves or flowers to identify.

There are not too many they don’t eat. I’ll check out the site.

We have so many deer and I am amazed when I see a plant that is lush and full in our area. CA completely different Zone though from MO.
