Here is my Le Vesuve. These photos were taken a long time ago, circa 2010. They do have some resemblance to your rose. This was a young, small rose, and if memory serves when it matured it looked somewhat different.

This was taken in 2019 when the bush was much more mature.

Thank you Ingrid and Sheila! i know in the pics it looks a lot like CB but im fairly certain its not, i planted a climbing CB at the same time and the growth habits are so different - CB send out very thick canes straight up destined for world domination, whereas my maybe-vesuve has much laxer canes that grow horizontally and scrabble across the ground. it definitly has that polyantha look tho. Ingrid im intrigued by your Le Vesuve and now more unsure!

It could be the bush form of Cecile Brunner.

The blooms seem rather small to be Le Vesuve. I would think also that the fragrance would be different.
