Thank you Julia. There is usually at least one cat in the garden. I feed feral cats and after feeding them for several years, only newcomers are really feral now. I name the new -comers as well and cats always seem to love the lilies. Sometimes I have to make them leave a plant since they are loving it too much. Scooter was the one in the garden today and he likes to lay under a lily while he waits for meal time.

Your iris looks like Paul Black, but I don't know the name of the NOID. I see that Dragonfly is a Trimmer. Compassion died here. Your daylilies look like big plants. Are they larger than usual? Here, the foliage is bigger than usual at this time of year. But we are headed for a period of below-normal rainfall.

Kay, the roses are lovely! First bloom on them is always the best. The iris look good too. The garden does look like it is ready to explode into color. I checked my Dragonfly Tatoo but no scapes yet-plenty of scapes on others! I had a new bloom this week as well. It was another Celeste seedling.

Thank you Mantis. You are correct as usual. I am sorry Compassion died there. Yes, the plants are larger and the scapes are unusually thick and tall currently as well.

Kate we are getting a needed rain today and I know the lilies will like that. Yes, the first blooms are the prettiest. I am having some iris bloom, but not an awful lot of it.
