Help! Which flooring is best?

Hi! We moved into our house a year ago- it was built in 1969 and was remodeled by the last owner. There are grays and blues throughout the house and a different floor in each room. We’d like to update to one LVP throughout the house and I’m not a huge fan of gray LVP. My goal is to warm up the space a little- I love more transitional California design, a mix of old and new- timeless. I’d love to get your opinion on these floors or if I should choose a different color. My favorite on its own is the middle but I’m nervous it will clash with the cool toned fireplace. Disregard the furniture / rug/ layout - we’ll figure that out after flooring!

I like option one best.

(But it’s very similar to option 2 if you like that better)

By itself, my favorite is #2.

In your close up picture, I think I like #1 better.

And in your picture of the full room, it's a tie between #1 and #2.

Here's what I would recommend: Go buy one full box of each (#1 and #2) and lay them out in your room. Look at them for a few days. You will know after that.

Then box them both up. Take the one you didn't choose back to the store for a refund (if they will do that -- after all, you're going to buy a house full of the other, so they should be willing to do this -- but ask before you buy the sample boxes).

Put the box of the one you choose in the garage. You might need it some day. If the store won't take the box you didn't like back, put it in the garage too. They're close enough that you could use the second choice in a closet or something if you need to replace something later.

You indicate that you don't want grey yet all 3 samples appear to have grey in them (on my monitor anyway). I would keep looking for the right brown undertone, or choose the least grey among your samples, maybe #1.

While I don’t see gray, I do know it is difficult to photograph LVP flooring.

I have Coretec Hayes Oak and it looks different in every photo.

I prefer either 1 or 2.

But, I would do more research. There are many similar choices on the website.

If you browse here in Houzz, you will find many discussions and floors in actual homes.

I was lucky to actuallly see my flooring in a home of a client of our GC. I’m not sure if I would have picked it from a sample.

I would buy a box and lay it out to get a better idea of how it will look.

I have my floors since 2019 and am very happy with them for many reasons.

I’m sure you will find what you are looking for.

I agree the only way to really decide is buy a box but I think the #2 you like is a nice choice I do not see blue anywhere and the gray of the FP is not driving much for me but the hearth and the front tile on it will at some stage need to be changed for sure so at that time bring in a a bit of brown in the tiles chosen for that something like this maybe
