You could extend the area in front of your porch next to your driveway, in a curve, square or go all the way to the sidewalk so you have a path to your door that isn’t your driveway.

Concrete or pavers would work, we put a paver path directly to our front door from the mailbox and use it all the time.

Where do you walk? Do you have plans for the dirt? Groundcover or grass?

1. Move the pots off the walkway. You're making the walk even narrower by having them there. How wide is your walk? I can't tell from the picture, but it looks wide enough without the pots. A picture of the front of your house taken from the street would be helpful. Maria's suggestion is a good one.

I agree about a new front path. Flagstone with gravel is beautiful and can be DIY. Since you cut across the dirt, fill that in with more walkway.

Move the sidewalk bushes away from the front walk. Use bigger flower pots but place them in the raised bed and plant easy care freeway roses in the bed.

Groundcover like creeping thyme and chamomille with lavender, rosemary and ornamental grasses, etc. are easy to grow and a nice lawn substitute.
