Hi - after using Klean Strip to remove glue residue from closed foam - how best to clean off the Klean Strip so as to avoid disintegration of the foam? Ditto rubber.

FYI, the closed foam is midsole of boots, and the rubber is the outsole of boots. They melted apart when i erroneously ran the boots thru the dryer.
