Garden Design help!

Hello,

I need advice on my front landscaping. We're south facing in GTA. Soil is clay and sand. I top up every year and it turns to crusty hard soil. The goal is to elevate the space and ensure continuity. I want it to feel structured and modern without being formal. I like layers and textures but want to avoid the "butterfly garden style". I don't love yellow. Prefer pinks, soft purples, different greens and white. I currently have annabelle hydrengas along the windows and a yue bush on the corner. I have hostas, grasses, day lillies (gift from mom), patchysandra (not growing thick like I'd want), heuchera (dark purple) and the side of the house has some barberries. Want to do maybe three spirea or lower flowering small shrub in front of the yue to extend the garden curve out a bit on the corner of the house. The front garden just looks very flat and large. Im open to changing the shape as it was initially built around 2 large trees. I need to create levels. I want seasonal interest. Boxwoods don't work in our area as the caterpillers are horrendous. I'm open to a low yue hedge in front of hydrangeas with annual flowers in front but not sure how I can tie this in to the bigger bulb shaped yue on the corner. I have a raised garden bed that needs something. I bought a few varigated green/yellowish Euonymus shrubs to either bulb shape or use as hedge somewhere. Holly could also be shaped for the boxwood affect. Any ideas on a cohesive

design?
