Carport Support Beams

Updated my old post, but not sure if its showing up…
I'm thinking about either staining or painting these support beams brown to match the top trim. Right now it’s looking incomplete to me.
Would you go semi-transparent stain, solid stain, or just paint them the same brown as the top trim?
