Might suggest rotating the sofa 90 degrees and placing it up against the wall to the right of the tv. Might try that and go from there. There currently isn't much space between the sofa and the bar stools.

Looks like the area by the big window should have a small dinner table to break that long space up. Then swap the couch with a loveseat and place it with it's back facing the dining table. Hang the TV on the wall by what looks like a white door. For extra seating and flexibility, use a small ottoman with a tray on top as a coffee table.

You want a walkway so you can avoid walking through the conversation area if possible.
