One plant has flower buds seemly.

What strikes me odd is the leaves are different from a mallow plant given me by a friend: they are smooth, thing and soft with a light color. And I did not expect them to bloom this early. Aren’t mallow biennial that bloom the second year? Following is the mallow plant given by a friend for comparison

Maybe my seedlings are not mallow after all?
