Not much experience with Bamboo

last year

My Lucky bamboo is just over 40" tall
Not sure whether I should repot it in soil.if so what king of soil is best, or leave it in it's 3x3 watery pot. Haven't done much to it except water and fertilizing. Sits in a afternoon sun west facing window.
