Do you mean a soap dispenser as in a built in as part of the faucet unit? I would imagine those would have the same finish as the faucet, and be the same durability. If you mean a freestanding soap dispenser, those can vary depending on what they are made of, and if there is a finish, how it's applied. Like a matte glass dispenser would last forever, or till you break it. An aluminum one with a quick powder spray might peel after some use.

Much better to replace a built in soap dispenser occasionally than to repair the inevitable countertop damage from freestanding soap bottles.

My free-standing dish soap bottle (refilled from a large jug of soap) and my hand-soap dispenser both sit atop a left-over 4x8 tile from my backsplash. Never a mess.

I have oil-rubbed bronze faucet and built-in soap dispenser. The finish has held up beautifully on both. I imagine the same would hold true with a matte color, from a reputable name brand company.
