Can I move my iris plants in the Spring?

Hello! I'm in Zone 5b, NW Illinois. I have a few irises that don't look like they will be blooming. I'd like to move them now in the Springtime and was wondering if that's ok to do so or do I have to wait for the Fall. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, you can move them, but usually wait till after they bloom. They might be a bit more stressed than if you did it later in the summer. Are they new or cramped and that is why they aren't blooming?

I planted some too deeply and just want to move them to a sunnier spot. They aren't new irises. Thanks for the info. Much appreciated!

Yeah, if they aren't blooming, and you know they aren't. I would just move them now. Be a little extra nice to them for a while.
