Rocky Mountain Gardening Integrated Pest Management Insects

anyone able to identify these little guys?

Found these little fellas (magnified 7 times) on the back of my kale plant in the greenhouse. There are some aphids on the plant, but it does not appear that th3ese guys are eating them, but they could be. Any one able to identify this and let me know if they are friend or foe?? Taos, NM

Legs are visible, but they are like the short moth, butterfly, or fly larva legs.

Lady bug larve? They are not red and black like mine here, but they have the same shape.

You know you identified my lady bug larve the other day, and thanks so much. It is possible, but these guys are a bit bigger, don't seem to have the same legs, or spines or color. I will keep them around a while and see if they change. Thanks again for your help.

Insect larvae go through several size changes as they mature.

Beetle larvae (includes ladybugs) have 3 pairs of prominent legs, and that type of legs is not apparent on the above images.

There are ladybug larvae with those colors.

Yes - I believe that is it!!! A friend. The larvae eats aphids, and the fly is a pollinator!!! Thanks. Peggy
